My thoughts: These Healing Hills is a wonderful story that will pull at your heartstrings with its interesting characters and fun dialogue. The story takes place in 1945 Kentucky, in the Appalachian Mountains. The main character is an extremely brave women who is in the Frontier Nursing Service. This wonderful story takes you along the country side during WW2 as one women travels on horseback to help nurse/doctor people who are in need, no matter what the weather or landscape. There is lots of scripture references and inspiration throughout this novel. I recommend this book to readers who enjoy Christian historical fiction set near WW2. ** I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. **
