About the author: A fan of the old adage “write what you know”, Katie Ruggle lived in an off-grid, solar- and wind-powered house in the Rocky Mountains until her family lured her back to Minnesota. When she’s not writing, Katie rides horses, shoots guns (not while riding, although that would be awesome), cross-country skis (badly) and travels to warm places where she can scuba dive. A graduate of the Police Academy, Katie received her ice-rescue certification and can attest that the reservoirs in the Colorado mountains really are that cold. A fan of anything that makes her feel like a bad-ass, she has trained in Krav Maga, boxing and gymnastics. You can connect with Katie at…, or on Twitter @KatieRuggle

My thoughts: What makes a romance novel better? Add a man in uniform of course! This sexy and suspenseful novel will keep you up all night reading page after steamy page as you are engulfed in the world of the Rocky Mountain K9 Unit with Officer Theo Bosco and his partner K9 Officer Viggy. While Theo is still grieving the death of this partner on the police force, his LT decides that K9 Officer Viggy with be his new partner. This brings all kinds of mixed emotions for both Theo and his new K9. Viggy is in shock from losing his partner and not sure how to deal or adjust to Theo. At first the pair are both at loose ends and not making any progress. Then one day Theo goes to the diner for breakfast with the squad and meets the new waitress, Jules. She is extremely attractive but it is very obvious that she is hiding from something or someone. At first this does not set well with Theo and he comes across very abrasive. This round of harsh to the point questioning makes Jules very uncomfortable but it is hard after all for her to concentrate. Her mind keeps going to the fact that Theo is incredibility sexy and exceptionally hot in his uniform. But Jules has a secret that she must keep in order for her brothers and sister to be safe. Sometimes though the heart wants what the heart wants and that is where the fireworks explode. Ruggle creates a remarkable story that is very realistic with twists and turns that tug at your heart and leave you with a warm fuzzy feeling. The setting and plot line are well thought out and researched making it vividly realistic. The characters are easy to fall in love with making you feel like friends. I cannot wait to read more from in this series and from this author. A great romantic suspense novel! ** I received a complimentary copy in exchange for my honest and unbiased review. **
