Sweet Tea and Summer Love by Regan Claire
Genre: Young Adult Contemporary Romance
Release Date: February 9th 2017
SYNOPSIS: It’s been more than a decade since Anna Lynne graced the home where she spent every summer of her childhood. Now, she’s back and overwhelmed by memories of her last summer there. One defined by loss, love, growth, and change. A few short months that changed her forever. Anna Lynne was mourning her father while most of her friends were thinking about college, making her question everything about the life she used to live, and the person she no longer wanted to be. She felt isolated in her grief—until she met Will and his sister, outcasts far outside her normal social circle. Through them, she learned about sacrifice and strength; about loyalty and love. Ultimately, they taught her that tragedy comes in more ways than one. As she recalls that fateful summer and the reason she stayed away from the only home she ever knew, Anna Lynne can’t help but wonder how the people she left behind managed to navigate the heartbreak she helped create—and if they can ever forgive her.
About the author: A Tidewater girl born and bred, Regan Claire’s first friend and love was the Atlantic. Growing up being told legends about pirates and American Natives common in coastal VA and NC, coupled with being an only child, did wonders for her imagination; she’s had one foot in fantasy-land ever since, a trait her closest friends heroically endure (and one she secretly hopes her two daughters have inherited). She moved inland to Nashville when she was entering tweenhood, and not a day goes by that she doesn’t miss her childhood playmate and it’s crashing waves. Nashville has her perks though, and Regan’s proud to be raising her children in Music City. She loves fairy tales, teen movies, and is constantly late.
My review: Sweet Tea and Summer Love is an amazing young adult romance novel. I truly enjoyed reading this book. Claire does an superb job in creating a unique plot line. I like how she created characters that are life like and realistic. The setting is a must for this story and Claire managed to pull that off effectively. The story is based on Anna Lynne telling her sister about the summer with her first love. There is a lot of jumping back from past to present but it helps in telling this lovely story. The love between Will and Allie (what he calls Anna) is swoon worthy making it the perfect summer love. However, this story does have its ups and downs it helps to blend the story and characters into one. I really enjoyed this story and feel the author done an outstanding job! **I received a complimentary copy of this book in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**
Forget Me Always: Lovely Vicious Series Book #2 by Sara Wolf was release by Entangled Publishing, LLC. in November 2016. I read this book immediately after reading the first book, Love Me Never. This book picks up right where the first book left off with Isis in the hospital after being attacked by Leo and she still does not remember Jack. Sara Wolf does a brilliant job in writing this trilogy. She creates a fun and romantic story with characters that are truly interesting. I feel that the back stories for the characters plays a major role in their current lives and helps add depth to the overall story. Isis has a unique way of thinking about things and an equally unique way of saying things. Her selective amnesia towards Jack is really heart breaking but interesting none the less. Jack had just started to feel again and feel in love with Isis before the accident. He was planning of telling her but did not get the chance. Now that she does not remember him he is heart broken and back to his Ice Prince loner status. I found this book to be an amazing read. The ending was a surprise for me, one that I did not see coming. This story progresses nicely and is an easy read in one setting. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series, Remember Me Forever with a release date of May 2, 2017.
SYNOPSIS: It’s been nineteen days since Isis Blake forgot about him. The boy she can’t quite remember. She’s stuck in the hospital with a turban-size bandage on her head, more Jell-o than a human being should ever face, and a tiny bit of localized amnesia. Her only goal? To get out of this place before she becomes a complete nutjob herself. But as Isis’s memories start to return, she realizes there’s something important there at the edges of her mind. Something that may mean the difference between life and death. Something about Sophia, Jack’s girlfriend. Jack Hunter—the “Ice Prince”—remembers everything. Remembers Isis’s purple hair and her smart-ass mouth. Remembers that for a little while, Isis made him feel human. She made him feel. She burned a hole in the ice…and it’s time to freeze back up. Boys like him don’t deserve girls like her. Because Jack is dangerous. And that danger might be the only thing protecting her from something far more threatening. Her past.
Seeking Mansfield by Kate Watson will be released on May 16, 2017 by Flux. I must admit that I fell in love with this book and the characters after reading a few chapters. Kate Watson has a style of writing that makes this young adult novel hard to put down. I did read this book in one sitting because it is the type of book you want to know what happens between the characters. Finley and Oliver are the two main characters with the story being told from both points of view. I like how the story tells both sides because it adds to the story so much more. Finley is a typical teenage girl who has survived many hardships with the help of Oliver. When her dad was killed in a car wreck by a drunk driver she is forced to live with her godparents who are Oliver’s mom and dad. Oliver is just the person to help Finley with her past demons and with his helps she faces her biggest fears. This books theme deals with loss, hope, love, and family. I also liked how the supporting characters in this book play just a big part in the plot line. I am hoping for a sequel to this novel and look forward to reading more of Kate Watson’s work. I highly recommend this book. **I received this book for free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.**
Synopsis: Sixteen-year-old Finley Price has perfected two things: how to direct a world-class production, and how to fly way, way under the radar. The only person who ever seems to notice Finley is her best friend and godparents’ son, Oliver Bertram. Since Finley moved in with her godparents after the death of her father, she and Oliver have grown close. If Finley could just take Oliver’s constant encouragement to heart and step out of the shadows, she’d finally chase her dream of joining the prestigious Mansfield Theater. But when teen movie stars Emma and Harlan Crawford move across the street from the Bertrams, they shake up Finley and Oliver’s stable friendship. As Emma and Oliver grow closer, Finley realizes that Harlan’s attention is shifting to her. She discovers she might have feelings for him too. Or, is she only interested in Harlan because Oliver is taken? Finley doesn’t want to be won, and she doesn’t want to see Oliver with anyone else. To claim Oliver’s heart—and keep her own—she’ll have to find the courage to do what she fears most: step into the spotlight.
I found that Being a Witch, and Other Things I Didn’t Ask For by Sara Pascoe was a very fun book to read! Raya is a teenage girl that is in foster care and does not realize that she is a witch. She and her cat Oscar go on a series of adventures all while learning and adapting to her new found powers. Being a Witch is written with amazing characters and plot line. The setting for this book in unreal. Pascoe does an outstanding job in creating and writing about the settings so that you feel as if you are really there enjoying the fun Raya and Oscar. The story time travels back to the witch trials and teaches you a little about the history of the trials. I found this book fast paced and very exciting to read. You really do not want to miss out on this young adult read. **I received this book free in exchange for my honest and unbiased review.** You can get you copy HERE.

This book makes you the main character along side Justin Bieber, Zayn Malik, Michael Clifford, Niall Horan, Zac Efron, and Shawn Mendes! I found this book a fun and up beat kind of read.
